Lately

Where does the time go? I love seeing art I've only seen online in person.

Rirkrit Tiravanija's “Untitled” (The Future of Chrome)

A girl I often see out and about on the art scene interviewed her here.

Me and my friend Ellen from TN enjoying the Armory Sunset

I also saw Philip-Lorca diCorcia in person which was pretty amazing. His gallery's booth featured only his work and I enjoyed seeing prints of many of my favorite pictures as well as 100 of his polaroids from throughout his career.

I've been thinking about the internet and digital culture as a dominant reality. Here are two remarkable posts from Hipster Runoff.

Who did Tiger Woods let down more: black ppl or white ppl?

And this post was really beautiful and satisfying.

It takes a socially transcendent moment to remind us what makes life worth living. Kanye West is a valuable member of society.

I recently went to a Penelope Umbrico lecture and this video reminded me of her work and made me chuckle.

I've been working a project for school that has something to do with postmodern life so I've been looking at artists that work with those themes.

The artist went through his photographs from the project looking in the individual windows and enlarged some of the sections.

I like the surveillance, anonymity, and rigid structure of these pictures.

I am fascinated by the titles of these works. They remind me of Barara Kruger's work but I prefer the text in the title as opposed to being on the picture. These works not only use the visual language of advertising but the titles are like slogans as well. It's like someone broke up your daily routine with a piercing truism. Some of these are realy devastating.
